NH: Insurer Says SS Numbers May Be On Stolen Laptop

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is warning 10,000 New Hampshire
physicians, dentists and other providers that their Social Security
numbers may have been stolen.

The insurance company said the providers' numbers may be in a file
that a national-level employee transferred to a personal laptop
computer that was later stolen.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association said the employee's actions
violated the association's security policies and was unauthorized.
