WI: More Social Security numbers revealed in state mailing

"They've literally had years to deal with these issues. They're not new," said Chris Ahmuty, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin. Ahmuty said his group would consider "all its options" if the state can't show it was finally dealing with the problem adding, "It may take an outside group to encourage them." His comments followed a disclosure by state officials Tuesday that a portion of 5,000 taxpayers in northeastern Wisconsin had their Social Security numbers exposed in a state mailing - the third such mistake in 13 months.
