NJ: Alcatel-Lucent loses employee data

Telecom and networking equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent said Thursday that a 
computer disk containing personal information about Lucent employees, 
retirees and their dependents was lost.

The disk was prepared by Hewitt Associates for delivery by UPS to Aon 
Corp., another vendor, and was lost or stolen some time between April 5 
and May 3.

The disk included Lucent employees' names, addresses, Social Security 
numbers, birth dates and salary information.
