Thousands of local Philip Morris workers could be at risk of identity
theft.

Philip Morris is warning thousands of local workers their personal
information may have been accessed. The company began alerting
employees this week that laptop computers have been stolen that
included names, salaries and social security numbers of employees.

These laptops were taken from the offices of a New York City
consulting firm that handles benefit programs for Philip Morris.
