I'm wondering if anyone can point me to a tutorial for this utility. The mailing list for it seems to have dissapeared, too. What are you trying to DO with MOSDEF? Some things are quite easy: polymorphic decoders and whatnot, and some things are quite hard (but quite fun): polymorphic decoders that automatically avoid arbitrary bad characters.
Building a MOSDEF for a new arch can take between a week and a month, depending on whether you have to build a new assembler and intermediate language translator for a new chip, or just a quick mini-libc.
If you have the Canvas Reference Implementation, doing shellcode development itself is quite easy. Is there some question in particular I can answer?
