Well, I think halvar's point is that for all but the most trivial case, 
the job is nigh impossible. People have been writing auto-exploiters for 
a long time. Even if you have eip, automation has still proven to be 
largely a waste of time.

Not to mention the problem of writing an intelligent fuzzer, etc.
