The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has released a short video [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlxWxH0mgU8 ] to help 
users spot and defend against romance scams. In this type of fraud, cyber criminals gain the confidence of their 
victims and trick them into sending money. The video includes stories that romance scammers tell to online daters to 
get them to send money and offers tips for avoiding these scams. Use caution when online dating, and never send money 
or gifts to someone you have not met in person.

file a report with


  * The online dating site, 
  * The Federal Trade Commission [ https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1 ], and 
  * The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Internet Crime Complaint Center [ https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx ].
