ANNOUNCE; CryptoHack 1.0 for PalmOS

Hello everyone,

In light of recent discussions on the list regarding the security of the
PalmOS password protected data, i believe the following announce is
interesting.

Movilogic S.A.  a company based of Buenos Aires, Argentina has released
CryptoHack 1.0 PalmOS 3.1 or later.

 What is it?
 ------------

CryptoHack is a Hackmaster extension that encrypts any application
database.

The user chooses a password and the applications to be secured and
inmediately CryptoHack encrypts it's database. When the application runs,
CryptoHack requires the password, if its valid, it decrypts the database and
the
user gains access to it.
Then, when the program exits the database is encrypted again. If the Palm
shuts down the database is also encrypted first and then normal shutdown
proceeds. The password is keep within the system memory only when during
the encryption and decryption phases.

CryptoHack uses a shared library that implements 576-bit Blowfish. The
library is in the public domain and the source is available at Movilogic's
site.

CryptoHack itself is freeware
