Hey Brent,

How exactly do you make "your implementation"? I have HSMs under my administration but I know only the basics, and I 
dare not experiment on them. Would be nice to have something of mine to work with. Thanks...

Buy a small deployment (or better yet, make your own implementation) and lab it. 

You will come away with a VAST understanding of the good, the bad & the ugly of HSM solutions.
