- About the Group
Ukrainian Information Security Group (UISG) originated in 2008 as a
community of LinkedIn users and today has over 900 members. The Group
successfully held 6 meetings, the last three of which can proudly be
called professional conferences. The sixth UISG conference was
attended by over 250 members. Conferences of the Group focus on
in-depth coverage of topical issues in the information security in
Ukraine and abroad.

- Who should attend the conference?

Experts in information security. If your daily responsibilities
include information security - an event is just for you. Talks of the
conference cover a wide range of topics related to information
security, and therefore attending the conference will be helpful to
all of infosec types: from immediate practitioners and IT security to
auditors and consultants in the field. Moreover, every attendee can
influence the selection of talks by informing the organizers about the
topics of their interest . Your wishes will surely be taken into
account during selection of talks.

IT professionals. Information security is not a closed club of rough
men always dissatisfied with something and answering the same "no" to
any request by IT department. It so happens that today every IT
professional, whether it be a system administrator, programmer, tester
(the list goes on), in his work should give some attention to
information security. What do you do if not even every organization
employs a specialist in information security? Whom to contact for
advice and whom to ask for explanation of unreadable standards? Visit
the conference for help, answers to your questions and development of
necessary professional contacts.

Students. Future security and IT specialist like no one else would be
welcome to join a community of experts on information security of
Ukraine. At the conference you will have the opportunity to talk with
experienced staff in information security, to discuss the career ups
and downs, to know about what’s the industry is up to today, what
skills are most relevant and in demand n the labor market.

Consultants and system integrators. Despite the constant non-profit
nature of the conference, an event will undoubtedly be interesting to
employees of companies providing services in information security. The
conference does not allow commercial advertising and reports, but
provides a platform for effective communication, which allows all
participants to exchange information on current problems, difficulties
and task faced by Ukrainian security professionals.

Journalists from IT. The presentation of information security industry
of Ukraine in the press is usually limited to system integrators and
distributors talking about security solutions and rare descriptions of
successful implementation of those solutions provided by customers.
UISGv7 provides journalists with a unique opportunity to meet the
industry representatives, who attended the conference on their own
will, rather than waiting for a hearty buffet. If you are interested
in hearing the independent information security people first hand, a
better opportunity may not present itself.

See you at UISGv7!

Sincerely,
UISGv7 Organization Team
