Hi,

I believe that some disk encryption software (e.g. Pointsec) includes a
"phone home" feature. If it is stolen, and later connected to a network,
this can help you trace it. You'd still be reliant on the user reporting
the device as stolen though to initiate the process.

im doing some consultant work for a bank, they are looking for a way to know how they can control if a projector or a
laptop is stolen. I know its an issue of physical security but still maybe there is an option to install a piece of
software on the laptops to alert if its gets out of the bulding.
