SNMP community strings enumeration

Hello All,

I am new to SNMP enumeration..The docs say if we know the read-write string of a system we can change the config of the 
system using it.

Can anyone point me to a good article/tutorial and tool that does it for us?

On a test vmware environment if I want to try some snmp enumeration stuff..how can I do it?
