F5 load balancers have excellent functionality and are easy to integrate. I find the url rewriting / scripting to be 
simple yet very powerful. The built in load balancing options ( round robin, cpu utilization, etc ) are plentiful. 
Similarly the node monitoring/heartbeat options.

I have also worked with the cisco load balancers. Configuring basic load balancing is quite easy. However some of the 
advanced features are difficult to configure in comparison to the F5.

I personally prefer the F5. It is a solid product, easy to configure and versatile

I have been asked at work to compare between F5 3900 series Big IP and
Cisco Content Service Switch (CSS).

What are your experience and your thoughts with either or both appliances?
