Hello Roger-
For system load I like htop, and for mysql load mytop:
http://htop.sourceforge.net/
http://jeremy.zawodny.com/mysql/mytop/

Finally, dnstop will analyze a tcpdump you take from your dns server
and analyze it, but I haven't used it personally:

Hope this helps,
Brad

I received another auditing task, this time the client is complaining
about DNS and MySQL slow response. Trying to make a copy of bind
configuration to study it at home i found something curious: there is a
whole /proc or something like that inside the /var/named/chroot
directory (cant remember the exact path). The system should be a Fedora
(didnt had time to check it, but Iknow the client and he usually has
Fedora 6). Is there any reason to have such thing inside /var/named?
About MySQL, Im not so fond of it, so, can somebody suggest me what
reasons can cause slow response? The server does some basic hosting for
10-15 joomla sites, so, I dont think that could generate a significant load.
