What you can do is, download the VMware 
converter(http://www.vmware.com/products/converter) and make an image of 
your physical machine.

I would give it a new MAC 
Address(http://www.vmware.com/support/ws45/doc/network_macaddr_ws.html) and 
change the IP address once its powered up. You wouldn't have any clashes the 
second time.
