Hello Ronish,

I am not aware of any specific list for 'Threats'. But what I can do
is make you aware of a broader scope of threats.

Threats can be accidental or intentional. They can be classified into
4 main types:

1) Natural: Earthquake, cyclone, tsunami, dust storms, tornado,
landslide, flood, electrical storm, lightning, heavy rains, drastic
climatic change, etc

2) Environmental: Gas leak, toxic waste disposed in vicinity,
neighborhood hazards, pandemic outbreak, contamination and related
hazards, failure of water provision, fuel outage, drainage choke, etc

3) Technical: Power outage, IT systems failure, fire, system
breakdown, problems due to manufacturing defect, threat due to
malicious codes, etc

4) Human: Failure to provide basic civic amenities, road blocks,
terrorism, war, spying, sabotage, theft, arson, hacking, immoral
employee ethics, legal dispute, sudden and unexpected reduction in
employee number (due to sickness/new job/leave/termination), threat
arising out of unaware users (either usage or security unaware users),
etc

You can select those threats that pose a certain risk to your
Organization's Information Assets. Hope this was of help to you.

hi ronish,
my dear frnd in general threats are divided into two parts:internal and external but in more specific way they can
be classified as:(1)communication & network threats (2) physical threats
(1) communication & network threats include sniffing, poisoning (ARP & DNS) etc.
(2)physical threats are again divided into two parts:hardware & software..hardware type include manufacturer error
and natural disasters..software include viruses, worms etc etc.

i also want to point out the most dangerous attacks:
1)DOS/DDOS(against availability)
2)social engg.(general but most dangerous)
3)man in the middle attack(against confidentiality)
(its my opinion i don't know what other say on this but according to me these are the most dangerous attacks)
