The Key to a Secure Future

The Norwich University Master of Science in Information Assurance program
provides an explicitly interdisciplinary approach to exploring policy,
business management, human resources, and compliance/regulatory requirements.
Our unique curriculum structure combines a range of related topics into six
seminars to provide you with integrated knowledge for advanced functional
understanding. The comprehensive core curriculum investigates a breadth of
related topics that cover information assurance technology, foundations in
information assurance, human factors, risk management, and analytics.

In addition to studying the core curriculum, you will also be able to delve
further into specific subject matter through our concentration courses. These
allow you to focus and expand on individual disciplines that were touched on
briefly in the core information assurance seminars. The concentrations provide
you with the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of core competencies,
identify emerging trends in your selected area of expertise, and assume
leadership positions. Norwich University currently offers concentrations in
Managing Cyber Crime and Digital Incidents and Business Continuity Management.

The foundation of the MSIA program is a time-tested curriculum that includes
both theory and practice. You will deepen your knowledge through reading and
research assignments, strengthen your abilities through focused discussion
with your classmates and instructors, and apply your learning to real-world
scenarios. You will develop the skills to assemble resources from throughout
your organization or industry for successful analysis, planning, and
implementation of security architectures, policies, and processes. You will
also become a more effective communicator, moving easily between technicians
and management and ensuring that both security requirements and business
decisions support strategic objectives.

Norwich University has a tradition of building leaders. As an MSIA graduate,
you will be prepared to take on the challenges of the future. Secure your
future: the key is you.

Norwich is also designated by the National Security Agency and Department of
Homeland Security as a 'Center for Academic Excellence in Information
Assurance Education'. Norwich University is accredited by the New England
Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., through its Commission on
Institutions of Higher Education.
