The most secure option is to switch it off :) But anyway.. you can
make your wifi AP more secure in 5 minutes.

1. change the default login username and password. thats probably the
most important thing to do.
2. switch on a WPA2 encryption. do NOT use WEP.
3. change the default SSID

Then you have some optional possibilities like MAC address filtering
or switching off the SSID broadcasting. But both the methods are easy
to bypass.
