IT Security Specialist who wants to live or is in Toronto working for

Qualifications
• 4+ years experience managing servers.
• University Degree
• Experience with high-uptime and large scale production environments.
• Experience with Microsoft server administration, deployment, 
hardening, and performance tuning in web environment
• Excellent understanding of networking principles and standards
• Advanced networking experience including a deep understanding of 
switches, firewalls, VPNs and routing.

Role
• Improve Intrusion Detection and daily monitoring
• Centralized log monitoring for firewalls switches and servers
• Configuration management on servers
• Own the vulnerability report and be responsible for driving down tickets
• Work with Development to implement a web application security 
assessment process
• Firewall and Switch rule management
• Firewall upgrade management
• Work with the Production stakeholders on hardening systems through 
Group Policies, build scripts and other best-practices.
• Liaise with sales and customers on security-related matters.
• Security policy management
• Security training
• Email security
• Advising on policies such as laptop encryption
