If you're interested, there is a host mail company called ElectricMail that will scan and filter all your email. Since they hold you main mx records, all mail to your organization will route there. Then they will filter, scan, and cross-check your recipients with a LDAP sync you can setup. Then the mail will be routed to your domain. The best part of this is, since the mail will be coming from a single IP block, you can also add a firewall ACL to only allow mail to come from their address. This will also protect you from relaying issues. Check it out. http://www.electricmail.com/Hostedmail/?gclid=CISWu9G-5JACFSosagodZBYjXQ -----Original Message----- From: listbounce () securityfocus com [mailto:listbounce () securityfocus com] On Behalf Of JD Brown Sent: Friday, December 21, 2007 11:53 AM To: security-basics () securityfocus com Subject: Securing Email Hi list, I would like to get some suggestions regarding products out there to secure email. Preferably, I'd like to see an appliance that could make the process as transparent as possible to the user. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
