A few lessons, and I think this is an easy and humorous (for the rest of us) example that should be used in training 
blocks.

1) BACKUPS! Holy hell, do backups, even if you're a small shop and you do it with cheap external disks from BestBuy. 
This is the top thing to do for any and every computer user.

2) Evaluate whether someone really needs access.

3) Realize that people will have access to do these things. This sounded like a small shop, and this lady likely did 
have some job function that necessitated access to these files. That's life, that's just how it is sometimes. In which 
case, simply know this, accept it, and plan around it. See #1 and #2. But this step should be a distinct step.

Apparently this lady was able to simply go in and delete 7 years of
data, where the owner had to pay for data recovery. Lessons to be
learned for this company perhaps?
