The guards can be social engineered...then you can turn it on and get the data. So thats not the best way.

Well, the best way to secure your system is to never turn it on, also
put it in a vault with heavy security personal watching it at all times.

Joking aside, this question can lead into a very long, drawn out
conversation. Can you be more specific on what you want to accomplish.
Depending on your hardware, OS, network....(long list of other things)
will help get your question at least getting some serious answers.
