What are you wanting to test? If you just want to test the functionality of
AV software, try using the EICAR test string. Details about this can be
found at www.EICAR.org. Most AV programs will detect this file, thus
telling you that they are working.

Other than that, I do not have any suggestions.

Hope this helps,

Subject: Virus for testing purposes

Hi

Is there is any place online from where i can download collection of
viruses especially latest ones for testing purposes or there is any software
available that create fake viruses or something like that. I read about
certain newsgroups, where if you place your email address they send you
viruses, but i want to
be able to download them. Since yahoo gmail etc block viruses and doesnt
allows to download them.

  Thank You
