security issue in folder sharing

hii all, i have a question and request for your kind and detail answer, 
we have 2 users in our dept who share thier folder on c; drive and share files but one day they found that there files 
are deleted , i would like to know how actually this happend and who could have done this , we have netiq security 
manager tool is there anywhere we can find out , ur quick reply is highly appreciated
