Avast found the virus that Kaspresky and Trendmicro found on my system (AVG
Free missed it), but I didn' care for the UI and the skins on their site
(yes, the AV is skin-able) really did it for me. I don't have any issue
with the AV engine.

Norton's isn't my favorite. From the AV engine perspective it's great, but
Symantecs products litter the registry and don't uninstall cleanly. I've
had one too many issues with their products to feel I can recommend them to
friends and family. You know, the folks who's PC I'd end up fixing if there
was an issue.

I actually like http://www.avast.com . They seem to have a good product
and there prices are pretty good as well. But is all depends on your
needs. For instance, I use http://www.clamav.net/ on my email servers
and I have had very good success w/ it. But I have been using avast on
XP workstation and it works very good as well. I never really liked
Nortans and Trend-Micro seemed to have a larger footprint when running
on our servers.

AVG's recognition rates aren't that great, but the price can't be beat. I
ran it and it failed to recognize a file Kaspresky and Trend's online
scanners complained about.

Kaspresky gets high marks. I haven't tried NOD, but I've heard good
things.

I am using NOD32 from ESET . It's fastest virus
scanner I have ever used and It's require very little
memory resources compared to other AV products..

I'd check out AVG. It's free and it works great.

can anyone give me a comparison chart between

any link will be very helpfull.

I think you'll find that most of those companies

forbid comparisons in

their EULAs and end user agreements...
