Snare && log servers

Hello,

i want to know what people think about SNARE? 
I have Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris servers and i want to create centrilized log server. Maybe you can suggest me 
any tool which can work with all these OS and is secure. Of course, this software should be opensource not commercial :)
