But do u know of any security devices of any major vendors like cisco, juniper, symantec etc that poduce soap kind of information and also is that information provided in the notification form or that has to be polled everytime from the device. For this the device needs to have a web service. Actually we are involved in a product of security information management, so we collect information poduced by various network security devices . I have been given the task of looking at devices which emit soap kind of information, but im not finding anything that emits that kind of info in that device siupport list. Checkout XML pure play vendors like Reactivity, Forum, Datapower, Sarvega - they all do this. I believe you could also do the same for F5 and Netscaler devices - I am not 100% sure, but, they do have SOAP interfaces for many functions. CA Unicenter, Service Integrity, HP Open View are some of the consoles that they are servicing to. Can I ask why this interest? /Shivaram Atul Gosain <atul.gosain () gmail com> wrote: HI Can you tell me a few of them and if you can give me some links that will be great. Added to this many of the exisiting switch vendors are also providing this feature. /Shivaram Atul Gosain wrote: Hi Does any security device such as firewalls, vpn's or IDS support their reporting in XML SOAP ie they can send the logs using xml soap over http to another management console.
