Symbol, a company Jennifer mentioned, makes AES and 3DES WLAN systems that are certified for government installations called AirBeam. I imagine if they purchase those from Symbol they'll be fine.

On May 4, 20t from Symbol they will be fine.

hi ya jennifer

My company is looking into wireless technology for our warehouse to
replace our RF devices. I have been tasked to research which techonolgy
we should use. Right now, we are looking into symbol. They seem to
have a good infrastructure. What is your opinion on their product's
security? Can anyone recommend any other wireless products or recommend
certain security requirements that I should look for in these devices?

assume that anybody and everybody can see all of your data you send
from your handheld device to the base station in the office

if you do NOT want any high school or competitor to see your inventory
and pricing, you should send all data using ssh or ssl enabled
devices ( DES, 3des, blowfish, etc )
        - wep, wepa, etc.al is all cracked and hackable
