That is an issue, but I don't think it's this one. It appears a
Microsoft Corporation certificate also expired yesterday. That
certificate was used to sign a VBA project in the template that we found
stalled our Word startup. I am attaching a screenshot in the event that
such attachments are permitted to this list

Gaby

It's Verisign issue actually. A certificate which Verisign used for
signing SSL certificates has expired 1/7/2004.

Hmm, we are seeing similar issues with Word, which go away when we start
remove one of our Word startup templates (and which also go away if we
roll back the date on the PC). I suspect it is related to this:

Hi guys,

I have a problem with a site ..

When the PC is connected to the LAN, opening local Excel and Word files
take abnormally long time .. disabling the AV does not make a difference
.. and a lot of SYNs are shown to the Verisign IPs of crl.verisign.com
.. 198.49.161.200 - 198.49.161.205 - 198.49.161.206

However, if the Network cable is disconnected, the Excel and Word files
open faster ... with no connections attempted to crl.verisign.com ..

Anyone have any idea what could be the cause ?

Thanks in advance ..

Naren
