port security works well?

Hello,  all.

I setup port security at 4006 and 4003 CatOS Switch.

The version is like this.
WS-C4006 Software, Version NmpSW: 6.2(1)
WS-C4003 Software, Version NmpSW: 5.2(1)

I setup like this, 
(3/1 port connected with other middle switch)

set port security 3/1 maximum 50
set port security 3/1 violation restrict
set port security 3/1 enable

I guess it works well..

After 1 minute, I confirmed that actual ports are just 20. 
And after 5 minute, I added one machine(one mac) at that port(middle 
switch), and 3/1 port was changed shutdown all.

Because of "violation" is not shutdown but restrict, the port should not 
shutdown all.
just excessive mac should restricted over maximum value,right? 

I guess that catos version is not high, so I disabled all port security.
Is this a bug of the CatOS verison?
Anyone who setup port security at Catos swicth well?
