Re: Nortel Contivity password

I was in a similar situation recently with a client's
network and the word we got was that there is NO
backdoor to these (Contivity 600, in my case) and the
only to reset it was to send it back to Nortel. I
don't remember what price was quoted for performing
this. Apparently, without the password, they are
impenetrable, though if anyone knows differently, I
would love to know about it.
In my situation, incidentally, someone else from the
original vendor managed to guess the password that was
likely used by the guy who initially set it up as he
was no longer with the company. Talk about "dumb"
luck!

Good Morning all,

I rccently changed the admin password on my Nortel
Contivity 2600, well as
luck would have it I must have written it down
wrong.

Does anyone know if it's recoverable, and if so how.
I've checked the web
and haven't been able to find anything so far.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim
