The Hebrew University of Jerusalem maintain a very usable list of Microsoft
hotfixes and service packs.

If you want the information direct "from the horses mouth", then go to the
Microsoft Security site.

You can pick your base OS or application level and it will tell you which
fixes you need to install :

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/current.asp

Also check :

Most OS vendors provide hotfixes from their websites. That's always the
best place to start.

Hello All,

I am currently researching the amount of patches released by vendors for
different operating systems.

I would really appreciate if anyone could give me some information or links
on the total amount of patches, hotfixes etc etc released by Microsoft for
Windows 2000 (preferable) or even 98/NT4.0.

If anyone has similar information for a competitor O/S (RedHat, Solaris,
AIX) that would also be a great help.

Thanks everybody,

Craig Searle
