Not that I know of. Personally I usually like to check what popular OS's/distributions have so we know what we might be cutting off by bumping the version.
The ones I know/care about are: RHEL/CentOS 5 has 2.12 so it's stuck at Wireshark 1.6 anyway. RHEL/CentoS 6 has 2.22 so that version's good for a while. Fedora 7 had 2.12 Fedora 8 had 2.14 Fedora 9 had 2.16So by bumping the version to 2.16 we'd lose Fedora 8. I can't say that would be a huge loss.
