He may not be asking to "borrow" the licenses, but asking people who have the lincenses to record some videos for him :) Asking vendors, should work, but may take too long. IMHO these and other web app scanner vendors should consider granting permanent lincenses to the folks at OWASP, but that may be asking to much in the real world. -- Cleiton Martins cleiton () gmail com On 9/25/06, c0redump () ackers org uk <c0redump () ackers org uk> wrote:
Dinis, Try explaining what you're trying to do and they might just help you out. You'll be suprised what they might do for you. I've been granted extended period licenses from some of these names. Besides, asking to 'borrow' someone else's license is completely illegal anyways. If you don't ask, you don't get. c. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kish Pent To: Dinis Cruz ; webappsec () securityfocus com Sent: Sunday, September 24, 2006 5:47 PM Subject: Re: Anybody got a licenced copy of Acunetix, Centric or other Web App Scans? Hi Dinis, Why do you want to have a licensed copy (why can't you request acunetix themselves for a limited licensed version for "some evaluation/testing".) The second point is it's Cenzic (not centric) and Iam unsure as to how many people would really donate their "expensive" license for some form of test. I think requesting the vendors might be a very good option rather than asking in a public mailing list. As far as I know, this is wrong ! You can get yourself into trouble for asking "licensed copies" of any software. Sharing software in other words is called piracy and FBI rates it as "organized crime". The vendors I think can come up with a viable solution than this list... No offense meant here. Cheers :) --- Dinis Cruz <dinis.cruz () googlemail com> wrote: > I need to do some Owasp SiteGenerator videos that > show what Web App > Scanners are able to catch and what they miss. > > This is quite urgent, so if you can help, let me > know ASAP. > > Thanks, > > Best regards > > Dinis Cruz > OWASP Autumn of Code 2006, > http://www.owasp.org/index.php/OAC > OWASP .Net Project, > http://www.owasp.org/index.php/.Net __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
