One alternative would be to use Mozilla's Firefox.  There is a Developer
extension that provides information on all the forms of a field and even
allows the user to change submission from a GET to a POST or vice versa

    I am looking for a plugin to internet explorer which allows you to 
modify hidden form fields 'on the fly'. I previously had a plugin which 
would stay at the bottom of your browser and you could modify any form 
fields and then simply hit submit.
