RE: Apache Worm?

I would say there's a big likely hood, if for no other reason than the incentive - imagine Nimda or Code Red with double the amount of vulnerable servers. Just like we still have problems with unpatched IIS installations, we would also get a reoccuring problem with unpatched Apache installations. Some can't be easily upgraded, some are fresh installs from a just installed distro, etc. -----Original Message----- From: Doesnt Matter [mailto:ackstorm () hackermail com] Sent: 19. juni 2002 01:10 To: vuln-dev () securityfocus com Subject: Apache Worm? what would be the likely hood a cracker could turn this into a internet worm, and what would the possible destruction be? I'm aware still over 50% of the webservers are running apache, but the diffrent distros might cause somewhat of a problem. would it not? ~ack -- Powered by Outblaze
