If you turn that option off, then you never get any searches. Y not edit the keys in the registry to reflect the site u want to search from....example i would like the address bar to try google.com i would edit some keys under: (on my windows 2000 advanced server machine) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "Ofir Arkin" <ofir () sys-security com> Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2001 17:29:04 +0200
To turn this off (IE 6.0/5.5/5.0): Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Do not search from the address bar Netscape 6.1 - did not produce this behavior. Just gave an error message about resolving.
