There is no such thing as an "autorun" horror^W feature in Linux or BSD.

On my home machine, I run Redhat, and I knew I came across such
functionality, so I looked around...

Little documentation with it, but the latter page fills in the gaps. Linux
does have such functionality. There's nothing wrong with adding useful
functionality to an OS like this, IMHO.
