Does anyone know how this "beam lock" protection is enabled/disabled? I can't find any way of doing it via the ordinary interface so I assume it's a little more sophisticated than this.
While I don't claim to know anything about the matter, I would like to point you out to the L0pht web site, specifically at the "Beam Crack" application L0pht have written. It unlocks most (some of the system ones are not unlockable by it or at all) databases on the system, and also has the ability to lock them all. http://www.l0pht.com/~kingpin/pilot.html ---> BeamCrack is a simple application that will set or reset the bit in each application's database header which tells the launcher that it should or shouldn't be beamable, thus bypassing the PalmPilot's infantile copy-protection. Useful for PalmOS >= 3.0 which support beaming via the PalmPilot infrared port. <--- HTH. HAND.
