Tried to get version info off ping, none available. I rolled this system
together myself, so that might have something to do with it (: May be
specific to RedHat or one of the distros...author of original post: please
post more information regarding what system it was, and what it included
[in relation to the problem]...just "possible r00t in 2.2.16" isn't quite
enough for many of us, thanks (:
