BTW, LINKTYPE_INFINIBAND was, according to pcap/dlt.h, "Requested by Oren Kladnitsky <orenk () mellanox com>".  Perhaps 
somebody at his employer has or had plans for either Wireshark or tcpdump code to handle that link-layer header type.
