I have problem with libpcap-0.9.4

Hi,
I have problem with libpcap-0.9.4.
when i compile (configure and make and make install) libpcap-0.9.4 the .so
files don't create
and only libpcap.a create .
why this happend ?
what can i do to create .so files compete .
