If not, could you try it with the tcpdump that comes with AIX?If the problem shows up with the tcpdump that comes with AIX, running with the libpcap that comes with AIX, then the problem probably isn't with libpcap, it's with the underlying BPF mechanism that libpcap uses on AIX.
