Nested Variables with ipvar

So planning on using multiple sites with snort, each with thier own set of
VLANs  For using IP VAR to assign servers/host to variable is it possible
to say nest variables inside of ipvar

example
ip var Test_server [$VLAN1.1]
instead of test_server [192.168.1.1]

With the multiple configured systems inside the snort.conf and the turn
around with setting up for new sites wanted to see if it was possible to
set up a top level variable for say first 3 octets of the IP.
