that unsubscribe email address was not introduced until July 2018... the older 
method used previously may have had problems but this one should not because you 
send the email from the address you want unsubscribed...

if this method doesn't work, that indicates:

  1. maybe you're trying to unsubscribe with the wrong email address?
  2. someone else (maybe corporate?) signed you up, possibly through one of 
their lists. get them to remove you.

it isn't rocket science... it totally baffles many of us that very smart people 
can subscribe to the list but cannot unsubscribe from it when the process is 
exactly the same...
