That is a Snort 2 error, so you did install it. The error says Snort can't figure out to decode a packet with data link type 239. Meaning the packets and selected DAQ are incompatible. Google turns up plenty of hits on that error, did you try that? After that, if you need more help, you'll need to provide additional details. And any new or updated documents are welcome too. :)
