Ok, I went back and rebuilt my mysql database and that seems to have fixed the problem. Prior to fixing the database I had put the any/any rules into a file called local.rules and put it in the same file as snort.rules. I uncommitted the section in snort.conf for the local.rules file. Now I am getting like 50-60 alerts every 10-15 seconds. I commented out the section for the local.rules in snort.conf as well as all the lines in the local.rules file. Would these rules be copied anywhere else? Thanks, Dan "Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways." - Proverbs 28:6 Sent from my iPad
