PEN test tool for Snort

Hi,

I'm doing the PEN testing against target installed with Snort. The goal is
to find out how effective Snort on catching vlunerabilities.
Anyone have recommandtion which is good tool (opensource one is prefered)
which can send crafted malious packets in testing ?

Any suggestion and recommantion are appreciated.
