network tap

Hello snort-users-list!

I try to connect a 'throwing star lan tap' from greatscottgadgets.com to monitor RX and TX traffic from firewall to 
switch, and vice versa, separately. If i only connect one wire, tcpdump show traffic (RX or TX). 
When i connect the second wire there is no transmission on the second interface visibly. I also try interface-bonding 
for RX and TX (bond0) but nothing change. Has someone a running setup like this or any idea?
