Help to understand functions

Hello.

I'm following all functions related to PP_SFPORTSCAN (defined on
preprocids.h) and I found a function called
DCE2_DisableDetect(SFSnortPacket *p). This function calls the function
pointers DisableAllDetect and setPreprocBit located in
DynamicPreprocessorData.

I can't understand how those function pointers and the function
DCE2_DisableDetec works. Can someone explain them to me?
